Liebster Award

I was surprised to see that I was nominated by the beautiful Erin of Sexy Cardi for the Liebster Award.  This award is a great way to discover new blogs and get to know bloggers.  I am so thankful to Erin for nominating me.  I have been reading her blog since I started blogging a few months ago and have really enjoyed her variety of thoughtful posts.  Thank you Erin!

The Rules:
  1. Once nominated, make a post thanking and linking the lovely person who nominated you.
  2. Include the Liebster Award sticker (like the one above) in your post.
  3. Nominate other new bloggers with less than two-hundred followers who you think are worthy of this award & let them know they have been nominated. (P.S you may nominate the person who nominated you.)
  4. Answer the questions asked by the person who nominated you and then make ten questions of your own for your nominees.

Erin’s Questions:

What is your favourite book?
I can’t say that I have an absolute favourite.  I like non fiction over fiction and am currently reading a book on Nikola Tesla, which is really good.  I think the best book that I’ve read recently is 30 Second Brain.  It’s like a science lesson all about the brain, but in terms that anyone can understand.

Name three of your dream destinations.
I live in the US and have only been out of the country once (to France.)  So there are many places I’d love to see.  But if I had to narrow them down to just three I would say:
  1. The Almafi Coast - It seems so beautiful there and I love seafood.
  2. Venice Italy - I’ve always wanted to ride on a gondola.
  3. Angkor Wat, a temple in Cambodia that I have always wanted to visit.

What is one thing you're looking forward to in the upcoming season?
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade - I’m hoping to go to NYC and watch it in person this year.

Do you have a blog post you're particularly proud of?
I really like how the pictures turned out in my Rust and Ankle Boots post.  I take all of my own pictures so it’s sometimes hard to produce what I visualize in my head.  I’m getting a new camera in a few weeks so my pictures will have better quality soon.

Is there any one type of clothing you buy and collect a lot of? For example, socks, striped t-shirts, flip flops, etc.
I collect a lot of clothing pieces of every kind.  Though I do seem to have more jackets and shoes than any other items.  I love unique vintage pieces and am always on the look out for something different.

When it comes to post photos, do you need them all to be perfect in order to post them? Or can you deal with the occasional imperfect photo once in awhile?
I would love for them to all be in perfect order, but then I would never post anything, haha.  None of the pictures ever come out the way I have them in my head.  So I make them as best as I can and then post.

If you could use only one makeup product for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Eyeliner.  I mainly just use eye shadow, eyeliner, and mascara daily.  I think I would feel bare without the liner.

Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
Coffee - I need two small cups in the morning or I’m totally lost.

Is there a food that you don't like but wish you did?
Pork belly - It always looks so good, but I just don’t like the texture and sometimes the flavor.

Do you enjoy decorating for holidays and seasons? Or do you hate doing it?
I love decorating for the seasons!  It’s one of the things I really look forward to.

My Questions:
  1. What made you decide to start a blog?
  2. Do you have a favourite perfume?
  3. Wine? Bubbles? or Cocktails?
  4. In three words or less, how would you describe your style?
  5. If you had a super power, what would it be?
  6. What is your favourite colour and why?
  7. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
  8. What is your dream job?
  9. Do you have a favourite fashion designer?
  10. If you could fix anything in the world and make it better, what would it be?

My Nominations:
I’ve nominated the following two blogs which I’ve recently started reading and really enjoy:

Chanel (Sonia) of Je M'appelle Chanel
Veronik of Pancakes in Bed

**If I've nominated you and award tag posts aren't your thing, don't worry about it! However, if I haven't tagged you and you want to answer my questions, please feel free to do so.**

  1. There was once a time when I thought I could forever do without eyeliner, but I think my answer to that question would be the same as yours!

Your questions are great! I tried answering them in my head as I read through them, there are definitely some tough ones in there! ;)

    1. Thanks Erin. I really enjoyed answering your questions. I think the hardest one was the first one since I read mainly non fiction, haha. I hope your enjoying your new job!

  3. Pork belly? That actually sounds disgusting! But if you say it looks good, maybe I need to google it before I judge by the image I have in my head now.

    1. Haha! It's actually a Chinese dish that looks really good when it has a nice crispy crust, but the texture of the inside is the part I don't care for.

  17. Interesting question for the nomination but I don't understand why dream job? There so many interesting questions to show some imagination but job is too trivial.
